My apology's for everything I've done
Forgiveness comes slow
To those who need the most
No use for living a life that's fun;
Serious senselessness & idolized ghosts
My life has lived up to these expectations
The ones of which I preach
A life of faking false sensations
That I never could reach . . .

So I look at myself & go back in time
See an image of myself but it's not really mine
Standing around with his hands in his pockets
It's all going down & no one can stop it
I couldn't stop it but I knew I would become
Someday's apology--
My work here is done

My apologies for everything I've done
Forgiveness comes slow
To those who seem to boast
No use in living a life that's fun;
Serious senselessness & idolized ghosts
My life has lived up to these expectations
The ones of which I preach
A life of faking false sensations
That I still can't reach . . .

So I look at myself & go back in time
I see an image of myself but it's not really mine
Standing around with his hands in his pockets
Said it's all going down & no one can stop it
I couldn't stop it but I knew I would become
Someday's apology--
My work here is done

My ashes are spread across many lands
I looked death in the eye then I shook it's hand
We've become good friends with a mutual agreement;
To end it all but never mean it
I never meant it but I knew I would become
Someday's apology--
Your work here is done
